Help?

I hope this is allowed-if not please let me know and I'll take it down.

My fiance and I broke up last year just 6 month before our wedding and literally lost thousands of dollars on deposits for our wedding. We wound up getting back together and he found a contest to win a $90,000 wedding. Long story short, out of 500 people we made it to the top 25 and now we need as many votes as we can to get to the top 10.

If any of you can help, you would need to register and then you can vote for us once a day per email.

This is the link- we are Ryan and Cindy - couple #4
Anyone willing to help THANK YOU SO MUCH- it seriously means more to me than you know.

I did read the rules and I am on the fence on if this is allowed or not so please delete this or let me know if it isn't and I'll take it down. I dont want trouble- just really could use help after what we went through last year.

Thanks again.

No, I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous. A $90,000 wedding? I'd rather use that towards a house.

I'm glad you figured out whatever your problems were, but that doesn't mean you should be rewarded with a huge wedding.

People generally hate this kind of request.

I can't vote for someone who would rather sign up for some stupid contest to try to win money for a wedding rather than just man up and put money in savings like everybody else.

Awkward... sorry I don't believe a word. There are many people in need, I'd rather those 90,000 go to Haiti.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Help? : People don't like these requests because at one time, it there was a problem with everyone coming on and asking for people to vote for them. I wouldn't vote for this couple. So you broke it off and lost deposits last time. Sorry, it happens, I'd much rather see the prize go to someone who really needs the money. I haven't actually looked at the contest to see if I feel anyone does deserve it though to be fair.

I totally agree with people not liking the request, and I'm not going to go to the site and vote for her either, but I don't understand how people making comments like "by the way, your outfits in your signature are ridiculous" feel that it is any way justified or anything but being plain catty. I totally agree with telling her that asking for votes is inappropriate, but I would rather see people offer her suggestions for how to work within a budget she can afford rather than just being rude and sarcastic because they have the misperception that most people will think they are witty and funny. If people have to resort to putting down a person for stupid reasons like her signature pic, that's NOT witty, it's bad-mannered!!!

Meh, if you're selfish and disconnected enough to spam boards trying to get something for free, you probably aren't going to listen to suggestions.

Besides, she's never going to read this anyway.

I disagree with the rude post as well, I can only suggest the OP to get married at a judge's office, and have a get together for close family and friend's at her parent's home. That's the smallest budget option. No one NEEDS a 90,000 wedding.
