Wedding Planner in Tallahassee

I'm seriously considering going this route especially since we'll be planning long distance. However, besides the amazing John Gandy, I can't find very many reviews for very many planners. Are there any that you suggest I talk to?

Anyone familiar with A Savvy-Affair?

TIA

I used a Savvy Affair for month of coordination and they did a good job.  They're reasonably priced too.

Would you recommend them? I know they are fairly new but what would you consider their strengths and weaknesses?

I'm taking this path because the planner (family member) that was going to take care of all the local stuff for me found out she has to enter therapy for some health issues and isn't very mobile at this point. She can still make a lot of calls for me, but she won't be able to get around as much as she's accustomed to or would need to in order to meet with vendors and such.

I emailed John Gandy who I understand is phenomenal, but he's so pricey. Way out of my league right now.

I meet with Lucia and her partner on Tuesday while I'm in town and want to be sure it's really worth the time. (If that makes any sense...)

    Thanks, navy!!!!

I would recommend them.  My wedding was one of the first they did, so I'm sure that they've probably fixed some of the snags by now.

They did a fantastic job setting up our site.  Absolutely gorgeous and would have never been able to do it without them.

Right before the ceremony and the ceremony was kind of confusing.  We had to wait around for safety pins for a while because the emergency kit was in the reception hall.  So I was standing around for a while waiting for those.  My DH said there was some confusion about how the guys were supposed to walk into the ceremony site.  One of our readers also didn't get his reading, which should have been in one of the boxes with the decorations.  None of these were big deals, but they were things that shouldn't have happened.

During the reception they were fantastic.  They helped book our caterer and bartender, so they helped them out throughout the night.  We didn't really deal with either of those vendors at all.  They handled most of it.  They also helped keep the DJ on track with the timeline.  They helped my parents clean up at the end of the night and pack up our cars so me and DH didn't have to worry about it.

Good luck with your planner search and let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks, Navy!

I will let you know how the meeting goes with them.  :-)

Also... I can't recall who you used for your florist. Was it Posh Stems? I've been in touch with Missy Gunnels and have a referral for England Florist.

This website is pretty awesome.  It has all kinds of local listings and ratings for them.

Sorry, I completely missed this post.

We did use Posh Stems and our flowers turned out gorgeous.  Missy Gunnels was extremely rude to my mother on the phone.  We always use England Florists for every day flowers (my DH always buys stuff from there), but we found them to be kind of expensive with wedding flowers.

How did the meeting with Lorena and Lucia go?
