Sorry I have been MIA!! I looked and saw a post from a while ago for me about vendors. I have been dealing with stress- FI matched for residency in Louisville, Kentucky, so we are moving there this summer
I am proud of him for matching but really sad to be moving away from all my family and friends to a place I dont know!! So I havent been on the knot in forever.
Vendor reviews:
Innovative Entertainment DJ: (A-) The DJ Matt and his wife Jerne were really great- she helped coordinate things during the wedding and he incorporated exactly the type of music we wanted into all parts of the wedding. The only complaint I have is they played the wrong father-daughter dance- I didnt want to stop and say wrong song so we danced to it anyways. Otherwise no other errors, very friendly, very economical compared to Jays and Solutions.
Amantez Photography: (A+++) Awesome Awesome!! It rained the whole day of our wedding, so out photographer got very creative with doing all indoor shots at Sweewater. I am so impressed with all of the pictures and the cost, since we now own all of the rights to our photos and can reproduce them however we want. For the day of, there are two photographers (husband and wife) and two assistants and they really kept us on track leading up to the ceremony. I highly recommend them.
Sweetwater Inn: (A+++) Our venue was the perfect place to hold a wedding. The staff was so personal- Katie the wedding planner did not mind all my random questions and my family members showing up to check out the place. We also stayed there for 4 nights before the wedding, and the service, rooms, and breakfast are impeccable. All of our guests thought the food was great, they worked really hard to get everything ready to hold the ceremony outdoors when it stopped raining, and we can't wait to stay there again as a married couple!!
Officiant Chad Reed: (A+) Chad was such a sweetheart and made me feel a lot better when none of the groomsmen showed up for the rehearsal. He knew exactly what to do, and when it was raining right before the ceremony, he chatted with everyone to ease the mood. His performance during the ceremony was great, we loved him!
Musicians (Duo Cellissimo): (B): I did not really get to hear them before or after, but apparently since it was raining they just stood around instead of playing on the patio for people so I feel like it was money wasted. I liked hearing my song when I was coming around the path to the gazebo.
Cake KB Kakes (A): I was really pleased with the decor and flavor of our cake and felt it was similarly priced to Publix and much better. She made us a small cake to take on our honeymoon, which was delicious, and gave us a small cake to freeze for our one year anniversary!! Also her cake truffles were fantastic!)
Davids Bridal , Millenia Mall, Orlando (B): I loved my dress (Oleg Cassini) and its being preserved right now by then. The people working at the store are not the nicest but my alterations turned out well. We had a huge issue with my shoes (the dyed pair that came back had all the rhinestones broken) but they ordered me a new pair and shipped them to my home since the Gainesville DB wasnt open yet.
The Knot Gals: (A+++++) Got so much great advice and support when my family wasnt very interested. I also love the budget feature on the know and used it a lot. Thanks ladies!!
