Why are venues so hard to decide?!?

Ok...So, I am stuck between two separate venues and can't tell which one to choose.  Fleming Island Gold club has a GREAT catering menu/bar price but I'm afraid they space may be too small.   But, the Orange Park Country Club has a great space and I'm not "In love" with the preset catering packages.  I've tried contacting the OPCC catering manager to see if he can work a similar deal like the FIGL did.  But no word back yet.  With the added pressure of me wanting to book very soon, I don't know what to do.  Any suggestions or experiences with either place?  Please Help!

    I think you should wait to hear from the OPCC catering manager. Hopefully they'll be willing to work with you! I don't have experience with either venue but I would think having too small a space would cause lots of issues down the road. Good luck :) Let us know what you end up going with!

    How many people are you expecting for your wedding?  When I looked at Fleming Island I thought it would be just big enough for my 80-90 guest list and a dance floor.  The only thing that gave me peace of mind with the space was the outdoor porch area.  It was big enough for people to go out there and hang if they didn't want to dance, freeing up the inside area.

    I hadn't looked at OPCC but I do think you should wait to hear what they have to say.

    I'm looking to have about 120 people.  My fiance and I went back to look at both places on Saturday and the Flem. Isla. place was set up for 108 inside with a small (very small) dance floor.  I guess it would work with the outside, but still don't want people on top of each other.  His friend was married there and she had 150 people and said it worked.  I don't know how?  Still waiting on OPCC to email me back but it seems like he's taking forever!  lol  If he can work out the catering, I guess we'll go with that one.  Thanks ladies...will keep you posted.
