We are having to rebook another venue and Hidden Hills Country club is at the top of our list. I have heard that you can use a venue on the Mayport Naval Base that is really nice. The Embassy Sweets at baymeadows/95 is also a great place. You can also rent Friday Musicale downtown, which is REALLY cute and you bring all your own vendors/decorations. They have nice hardwood floors, kitchen, table, chairs etc

We used Hidden Hills Country Club for the ceremony and the reception.  It was perfect for our small ceremony, and the food was great!

I'm getting married on the Mayport Naval Base.. Ocean Breeze Conference Center.  I dont have alot of money to spend either so this is perfect.  the food prices are very reasonable.  No sales tax and it's only 18% gratuity.

Neither one of us is military .. so dont let that stop you if you're not either.

    Good luck!

We're renting a large house on the beach and having the ceremony on the beach and reception at the house. It's great b/c we'll have the house for an entire week before the wedding to decorate. Make sure to tell the people you rent from about the wedding b/c they might charge different rate. Also, make sure parking is sufficient.

Green Cove Springs has a park called Spring Park.  It has a really pretty gazebo and the price is $200 for 5 hours.  The website is www.greencovesprings.com.

We looked at the Winterbourne and for a small reception it would be wonderful, we decided it was too far of a drive for us or we would have used it for my daughters wedding

We booked The Casa Marina in Jacksonville Beach  htttp://www.casamarinahotel.com/

I am on a tight budget too and I found out that having a wedding on a weekday is often much less expensive then a Saturday.  We booked our ceremony and reception there on a Friday and it's a little under half the price for a Friday.  They are very accommodating there and they will even let you used some of their shells and vases as your centerpieces at no extra charge.  The food there is wonderful and you have lots of choices including apps for the cocktail hour.  Good luck!
