Has anyone used personal garment steamer on bridal gown?

I just want to know if it's safe to use your own garment steamer than have it done by a professional somewhere...

    I don't have experience with this but I wouldn't risk it myself! I'd say go with a professional.

    I haven't tried it, but the owner of the dress shop where I bought my gown said that you can, but make sure that you use purified water.  Tap water will leave stains.  Good luck!
