Newbie here!

Hello! My name is Kyrie and my FI proposed on my birthday August 6th. I'm super excited about the planning ofcourse, and find myself getting a little overwhelmed at time. I know I just gotta take it slow and to stop second guessing! Chad and I have a small budget of about $5000, but I've learned that's a lot of money to do stuff with! His important thing was good food, and I want great scenery so we just signed the contract with Alchemy at Copperwynd (CHECK!) We're interviewing officiants this upcoming few weeks. Anyone have any suggestions they know have great personality or low rates? I'm been hunting the boards looking at suggestions for photographers and DJs, but like I said, gotta take it slow! Tongue out

Welcome Kyrie! Taking it slow is a very good idea, this next year is going to whiz by so you should try to enjoy it. Congratulations!

Congrats on the engagement, and welcome!

Alchemy was one of the first places we looked at for venues, and it really is gorgeous!  We just thought their food pricing was a bit too much for us.  It is an amazing view and a gorgeous venue though!

You have lots of time yet, I'm sure you'll be able to find what you need in your budget! We haven't met with any officiants yet, or DJs actually, so I don't have recs for you for that, sorry!

    Congrats and welcome!

Great job having the venue lined up.

For officiants - we are using one of the reverands with Rev Giovanni (he was booked but gets really great reviews).  They charge a flat rate of $200 which I thought was great compared with some of the other options!

We're meeting with Giovanni next monday, I'm excited to meet him! We met with Rev. Randy Williams today, he also seemed like a great pick!

I'm getting married in Fountain Hills, too! We looked at Copperwynd, and we loved the view, but we were a bit troubled by some bad press they had the past year - plus the prices were too high for us.

We're using Jon from Starz entertainment for our DJ. I really liked meeting with him.

We've decided on Rev Giovanni! He was great! It was a toss up between him and Bernie, but the FI liked Gio. I'm happy he's just a little bit cheaper too =D
