What to wear to the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner

I am attending a rehearsal in Chicago at a Catholic church on the west side of the city.  The rehearsal dinner will immediately follow at Uno's Pizza.

I think it would look weird to be dressed up at Uno's, but don't want to disrespect the church (we don't live in Chicago and are not Catholic).  Help please!

Somethng as casual as "dress" capri's and a nice top will be fine......for church try to have something on that at least covers the shoulders somewhat.  A simple skirt; sundress, slacks, pretty much anything goes----the biggest "issue" is usually one of modesty----nothing too low cut or baring---or too short--and a cardigan or shawl can take care of most of that!

Would it be out of the question to ask the couple what they are expecting everyone to wear?

Ours was very casual, but we made sure to communicate to everyone that they should wear jeans and nice tops so that no one felt overdressed/uncomfortable.

I don't know if you have been to Uno's before, but I don't think it would be inappropriate to dress up there. The atmosphere is not as casual as you would think, plus it's downtown in a really nice area so you would not look out of place. If you like to dress up then go for it!

Sorry - I just pulled out the invitation and it's Gino's East at 162 E. Superior.  I did ask and she said I didn't have to wear a long dress.  She's wearing a nice sundress.
