Thank You Card Question

Hey all!Question...what's the best way to say thank you for a monetary wedding gift?  I'm soliciting suggestions because I'm having a hard time deciding how to phrase it in our thank you cards.  I've heard thanking the person for their 'gift of love' referring to the money/check they gave but I'm not sure I like that, so any other suggestions??? :)TIA!J

We just wrote "thank you for your generous gift. It will help us start our lives together etc..."

I kind of addressed it directly, "Thank you for your generous gift.  It has really helped us in saving for our new home."  Something to that effect.  I know that might not be proper etiquette, but I wanted people to know that their gift was exactly what we needed, you know?

I wrote all of our thank yous when we got back from the honeymoon.  My thank you's were pretty lengthy because I mentioned how grateful we were for them coming, how we had a beautiful time on our honeymoon, where we went, and our plans for updating the house so at the end of the card I wrote "all of which would not have been possible without your generosity."
