Plus Size Sample Dresses

Do you know of any shops in the area that carry plus size samples? I'm looking for 18, and I know most carry 6s and 12s. I don't want to go and try on a 12 that I can't even get on so I have no idea how it really looks. I've already been to David's Bridals. Thanks!

Good luck I am a larger plus size bride than you and I didn't get to try on a single dress.  The best they can do for you generally or at least in my expierence is to hold up the dress so you have to guess what it will be like.That being said I do love my dress it is lovely and very flattering and sexy.  However, I do know that I have yet to expierence the whole-crying this is my dress- moment and I feel this is because I couldn't try anything on.  I hated dress shopping because it was anything but a positive expierence.  And most shops when you call are quite rude when asking if they have plus size sample dresses.I do know Kleinfelds in NYC does have plus size sample dresses because I was actually going to fly out there for the weekend and look at dresses because I so badly wanted a dress that I could try on.  However, a big family emergency happened so that kinda stopped life for a bit!Good luck!

Wedding Belles in Barrington!They mainly sell sample dresses.  I am a size 16 and was able to try on over 10 different dresses there (much more than anywhere else)!  They were all a few sizes big too.I would call first and make sure they have some in stock in your size first though.Good luck!

Ok so know going in that the store is not one of the beautiful bridal salons, but Bride$mart in Schaumburg has quite a few samples in plus sizes, can't remember what size it went up to. I purchased my Maggie Sottero from this store as a sample.

I tried on tons of plus-sized samples at House of Brides. They had a ton!

I second the recommendation of Wedding Belles in Barrington.  Because it is specifically a designer sample shop (they do have a few brand-new, never worn dresses, too, that they discount) they have a smaller selection, and there's no special orders- what you see is what you get, and the stock could change at any time.  But they did have 50 or so plus size dresses.  I ended up with a size 20.  I love it, and they were great to work with.
