SO UPSET - videographer cancelled

We just sent our deposit to Dunamis Works last week...I am IN LOVE with their work...was SOOO excited to officially have them.  He just called and said that he had a falling out with his partner, they're ending, and he's moving back to Singapore (he's sending our deposit back - don't worry).  I'm just so upset...Dunamis was probably the part I was MOST excited about so far.  And I have NO idea who else I think even compares to them...I just need some support...and if you have a rec for an awesome videographer (2,000 or less), I would really appreciate it!

Thanks...and I just watched a few videos...they are good.  Are you using them or know someone who has? I think it's gonna be so hard for me not to compare everything to Dunamis Works...I just loved them so much!!! Their videos made me cry!

We are using Midwest Video Productions of Illinois. They are under $2,000. Our package was around $1,500. We love their work and came recommended to us.
They have been in business for a long time.

I'm sorry this happened! At least you got your deposit back! I can kind of relate. We were really excited about our first cake baker. They are very very popular in our area and their cakes are amazing! Well, this baker ended their agreement with our venue, so we had to use the other baker that works with our venue (cake is included in reception package). It was a huge disappointment for us, but we ended up with a cake that tastes even better than the first! Good luck on finding a new videographer.

Wow! I can't believe that about Dunamis Works. They were over our budget but I am in love with their videos as well.
We ended up booking with Jeff at Shoot The Bride Films who gave us a really good deal. And he has the same modern type style as Dunamis Works

I 2nd Delack media group. i am using them for my June wedding. I also planned a wedding in October that used him and thier video was amazing!

miranda - I looked into I Do Films awhile ago, and I agree that they are amazing...I would absolutely go with them! They're just over our budget =[ I emailed her yesterday though to see if we could work something out! They are the only people I've found so far that compare!

jess - that SUCKS about your cake! But it gives me hope that I'll find someone even better!

ladybug - watching the videos...do you know who writes the captions for the videos? Is it Jeff that you booked with? He mentions a few times that he feels like he can be more creative when he shoots on his own and not for a studio...I think I would rather have that also! Thanks!

Logi is who a lot of the past knotties used. See if you can page someone who has used Logi. I remember liking them. I Do Films is still my favorite though.

I also recommend Delack Media Group -- what I really liked about Nathan was that he actually listens to you and makes the video how YOU like it rather than just doing it one way for everyone.  So if you really liked your original videographer, send Nathan some samples you really liked and he'll ask you what you specifically liked and he could potentially incorporate some of those themes in your video.  He's totally open to doing new and different things and that's only one reason why he's so awesome!  Btw, you can watch our video by him in my vendor reviews or my website home page.

I too, received the same message from Dunamis earlier this month and I still haven't found a videographer to fill the spot. Like you, I also love his style/work and was really looking forward to having him as our videographer. I've started my videographer search again and...it's been difficult finding someone that is as good and still within my budget. =(

Would you let me know if you sign with someone? It seems like we're looking for the same thing.

ABSOLUTELY! Let me know if you find anyone...it's been really, REALLY hard...NO one compares and its so upsetting =[
