Facials?

I am looking at booking Sonia Roselli for my wedding makeup and hair. On her price sheet she has packages for facials that I can add to my contract.

Are any of you doing facials before your wedding? My skin is ok but could be better. Do you think it makes a difference?

Also I am looking at Claudia for hair and Rebecca for makeup. Has anyone worked with either Rebecca or Claudia? Any thoughts good or bad would be great. Thanks!

I will do microderm, but I'm funny about facials; however, if you're considering Sonia, I would definitely trust her. I have a really tight budget and would LOVE to do the facial package with Sonia, but just can't. I trust she will do an amazing job!

Rebecca is doing my makeup for my wedding in October- she is awesome! I had my trial a few weeks ago and I'm super happy with the way it turned out. She suggested doing a hydrating facial before the wedding, so I will probably do that. She definitely wasn't trying to sell me on getting one there- it was really a suggestion so that my makeup looks the best that it can for the wedding. Sonia's studio is sort of far from me and I don't have a car, so I might find another place to go closer to my neighborhood.

If you are going to add them, just start like 6-9 months before so you can do a few to see how your skin reacts. Give yourself time to adjust if you have never done them before. I haven't gone to anyone at her salon before so I don't have any advise on that.

I just had a hydrating facial with a chemical peel last weekend and it has made such a difference! I have acne, so she suggested I have four chemical peels in 10 day intervals with hydrating facials afterwards. The peel did not dry out my skin or cause an adverse reaction at all and I have not had any new pimples since (which I normally would have had a few this week based on my cycle).

She said I have dehydrated skin (which is not the same as dry skin) and that the hydrating masks are what give your skin that glow - and she was totally right. My skin has been glowing since and now I'm hooked.

I went to an organic spa in Long Grove, but I'm sure Sonia's studio would be wonderful and it would be well worth it.

I got a facial a week before my wedding at the health club where I work.  I had the person look at my skin to determine what would be the best.  I guess it worked, too.  I noticed a difference and the day of the wedding, Cynthia Sally, who did my make up, said how nice my skin looked.

By far one of my favorite places in the city that I've had a facial at is Bliss on LSD.  Ask for Libby - she is fantastic.  Not super cheap, but I mean it is our wedding day, right? :)

I'm doing my hair and make up elsewhere to try and save money, but doing facials with Rebecca. So far I've only had (my first ever) and I think my skin normally looks fine, but I did notice a difference afterwards. I can't wait for my next one!
