Just booked DJ & Photog!! Now I need recs for invitations!! Big inv. companies vs. local?

We just booked Admit One DJ and Kara Schultz!  I'm so excited!!  I have my first appointment with a florst this coming Saturday and I'm also starting to think about invitations.  What are everyone's thoughts on using a big national company for invitations vs. a local business?  I'm leaning towards using a local business because I want to be able to work with them in person.  Anyone have any recs?

check out etsy.com...you can find anything and everything on there plus it's like using a local vendor since they create it specifically for you.
Congrats on Kara, we're using her and she is awesome!!!

I also wanted to go local so had my wedding invitations done at Starshaped Press - they were very reasonable for letterpress.  Jen was able to do a custom design for me.  Good luck!

I prefer trying to put my money into local businesses to help the economy. Since I'm spending so much money on this wedding, I think it's even more important to support good businesses.

For a local letterpress studio, I'd recommend Orange Beautiful. They are located near the Damen brown line and their invitations are really beautiful and clean. You can check them out at www.orangebeautiful.com.

I would check out Magnificent Milestones in the West Loop - Kara is great to work with, and she's a small business owner.  I just went on Monday and the whole thing was fun and easy!
