Tipping questions...

Hi Ladies,

I'm trying to factor tips into our budget as we plan things...

gratuity is included at the venue, and we'll probably give a little extra to the bar tenders and waitstaff.

but i'm wondering how much to tip other people.

photographer?  

DJ?

videographer?

florist?

If they have assistants, do we tip them separately or tip both based on the amount of the bill and let them sort it out?  did you give them tips at the end of the night or the beginning?

tip what you can afford and whoever you feel did a great job. this question comes up a lot and aside from some wedding planners who have a set of rules or standards, i dont think there really is a standard. my stylist and photographer owned their own business but i still tipped. i found out my reception venue didn't pass the mandatory gratuity on to the waitstaff though. i think this is unfortunately pretty standard too.
