Arrowhead Golf Course & Metropolis Ballroom... thoughts???

I think I've narrowed down my reception search and I'm seriously considering both the Arrowhead Golf Course in Wheaton and the Metropolis Ballroom in Arlington Heights.  Just wondering if anyone has any feedback... good or bad... that could help us as we make a final decision.

    I had both of those places on my top list - but they are each very different. It depends on the atmosphere that you want I think.  The caterer at Metropolis was great. I ultimately went with another venue so can't offer actual help, sorry.

    No decision on ceremony yet... trying to figure out where to do that.  I'm not thrilled with the idea of doing it in the same room as the reception, considering it's just a ballroom.  Can't do it outside and Arrowhead cuz we have too many guests.

    I will be getting married at Arrowhead in August.  While I don't know anything about the Metropolis Ballroom, I could tell you that I fell in love with Arrowhead the moment I walked in.  Kristina (catering manager) has been nothing but super helpful in answering all my questions. I love that we will be the only wedding that night.  The ballroom has great views. We are also having our ceremony outside near the greens.  So its was really important that it has the cocktail hour room, just in case we needed to move the ceremony inside.

    An ex co-worker of mine had her wedding reception at Arrowhead.  I did not attend the wedding, but she told me that it was fabulous.  I've never been to Arrowhead but my fiance golfs there on occasion.  I've driven past and it looks lovely.

    OTOH, the Metropolis look awesome too.  I think I was in there at one point when it was very new - back when downtown AH was being revamped so not sure what its like now.

    Good luck - both neat venues......hard to pick.
