Boudoir Photography...still hunting

Hello-

I posted last week about boudoir photography. I really want to do this for my DH, but am having trouble finding someone. I, ideally, would like to get my hair/make-up done and then have the pics. For those who have done this (or are looking into doing it yourself), is there anyplace that packages these things together or do you just take care of the beauty on your own and find a photog? Has anyone seen pricing for boudoir photography? I really want to do this as a V-day gift, so any help you can offer would be appreciated!! Thank-you!!

I had my boudoir session with Laurie Peacock.  She made me feel really comfortable and was a blast to work with.  Check out her blog - she details some of the boudoir marathons she has but I'm sure you can also schedule a shoot with her.

When my FI and I were interviewing wedding photographers, we spoke with Agnes from Plum Tree Studio, who also does boudoir sessions.  She was very professional when we met with her, and has an online gallery of boudoir photos that you can look through.  Good luck!

Thanks ladies...I will look into both suggestions. Ironically, I just saw a teaser post on FB today about a special that will be running, so I will look into that as well. If it is good, I will post details in case others are interested.

    Thanks for your help!

I had mine taken with Leah Stafford, and they turned out great.  She does minor editing, although I would have liked if she edited more photos.  I would highly recommend her.  Since I worked with her I've seen a lot more of her work and it's great.

I had my makeup done professionally, but did my own hair b/c it is easy to do.  I also wanted my hair to be able to have that bed look to it--kind of sloppy for some pictures.  My biggest words of advice are to practice your facial expressions and have great shoes to go with your outfits.  I researched the Internet for days to choose my outfits and poses.  Many women have great clothes and jewelry, but their shoes are old and don't work well with the rest of the look.  It was a great experience and was a great way to preserve my body while it is young and before kids.

Good luck and have fun doing it!
