Money Gifts at the Wedding Question

How did you protect your gifts at the wedding.  I have a place for people to drop their cards which will be placed on the gift table, but it isn't really secured.  Did you have someone who kept the money gifts somewhere safely, if so where.

Once the reception starts, the venue coordinator will take our card box to our suite. Check to see if there is a secure room to keep the cards or if someone can take it out to a locked car.

Our venue has a locked gift room that will be locked once the reception starts. This way guests can still ask the site coordinator to unlock the room if they need to put in cards later.
If you don't have this I agree with pp. Depending on where you are though, a locked car may be more risky then having the venue keep it somewhere. Just make sure you put it in the trunk!
