How is everyone doing with wedding planning?

I went to three bridal salons on sunday and 2 yesterday to look at bridesmaid dresses.  I went to Eva's of Orland, HOB of Orland, DB of Orland, Eva's of Oak Lawn, and White Carriage in Shorewood.  I can honestly say I had a good experience with customer service at each place... although wasn't as successful with picking out the BM dresses.  I'm about thisclose to just doing a MOH instead of a whole dang bridal party.  Another story for another day though...

    I found my dress :) we're about to send out our save the dates and are working on completing come DIY projects early. I need to go shopping with 2 of my bridesmaids so they can decide on which dress they want.
    I hear ya on the whole bridesmaid thing though! I kinda wish I could have 3 instead of the 5 I asked.

    Congrats on finding your dress! We just took e-pics over the weekend--see my AW below :) So, we're now collecting addresses to get ready to send save the dates--going to use a e-pic and make a postcard.

    I also need to get on the BM dress train!  I mentioned to my girls that I would be sending out some dresses that I've found. Hopefully we can decide on a date to go try them on and then have them ordered--gave myself a deadline of Dec. 1st.

    aimers, I SOOO wish I did what you did -- as far as picking out dresses and having them try them on.  I made the mistake of giving them free reign and it went out of control...  lesson learned, my friends!  Lesson learned!

    ugh it's not letting me post a picture however it's the Mori Lee 4524. Best part is it has pockets!!!!

    @loveisbald--we took pictures at the museum campus, Northerly Island Beach, and in the loop near Daley Plaza and the Chicago Theatre

    @mrspaps--I love your dress! Mine is a Mori Lee too and very similar--mostly because I'm going to have it altered to be sweetheart

    We looked at registry stuff yesterday. We really really need to start looking up addresses. I think I might have 10% of what I need. Friday my sister (MOH) and I are going to order her dress and look at veils for me. She's leaving the 26th for London for 3 months so we're trying to do some things early so she doesn't miss out.

    we have six months to go...i thought we were in great shape and last night i sat down to make a "things we still have to do list"...it's like pages and pages long!  lol

    it's hard planning the wedding from out of town (i don't know what i would do without the suggestions i get here!), but one good thing is that it allows us to be very focused in our planning...

    we came home for labor day weekend and i got my dress, met with two florists, we had our tasting, took our e-pics, and met with a videographer.  we even managed to squeeze in FH's first trip to Wrigley Field! 

    our next trip isn't until november when we come back for the shower.  it seems far away, but somehow i feel like everything needs to be done by then (or at least decided upon) because once the holidays hit, the wedding is right around the corner! 

    which is great because i can't wait!  lol

    i don't have a picture of me in it to put up, but it's this dress:


    i can't believe how much i love wearing it!  i think i had it on for like an hour in the store after i decided it was the dress.  lol
