Which centerpiece to choose?

Hey ladies!

I have a question for you all.  FI and I have three options for centerpieces and we can't decide which would look best.  In all cases, the vase will be a small cylinder (about 12" high).  We can either submerge pink rose petals in the water and have a floating candle on top, we can submerge one complete pink rose with a floating candle on top, or we can have just the head of the rose floating on the top of the water with no candle.  What do you guys think?  We are going to have pink rose petals as an accent on the cake table and place card table, so I was justing using the petals may tie everything together.  I am just worried that maybe that won't look good.

Will the petals float or just sink to the bottom.  If they will float I think this would look nice.  What about a flower that is more branch like with multiple blooms, like an orchid or something cheaper?  I think if its submerged you want it to look like something more then just a rose stem.

I agree too, I would do a submerged something with multiple blooms and then the candle on the top. I think the others will look too plain.
