dress issues

Does anyone not like their dress anymore?

I had doubts a few weeks after I bought it, tried it on when it came in and liked it again, but I picked it up from the shop yesterday and I'm still having doubts... It's very fitted with a lot of rouching but since I'm losing weight (and it's a fitted mermaid dress), you can't really see that and it's making me feel bulky!

Do you think I should keep looking for new dresses or will the alterations person make me fall in love with it again? Also, if I keep it, it has a huge bow on the side I was going to have the alterations person (May Catomy) take off. Do you think she could turn it in to flowers or something pretty or would I have to buy flowers and have her sew them on? I just want to make sure they match the fabric... Is it possible for her to tone down the "poof" of rouching so it's not so bulky looking?

Wedding is in September 2010 so whatever I do I need to move quick if I get a new one!

If the dress was more fitted when you got it in and you liked it then, I'm sure once its fitted properly it will look great. If you are thinking that you want something that's a little more sexy, that's a different story. Seamstresses can work wonders on a dress and I'm sure Mary can make your dress more suitable based on your requests.

I'm jealous that you have your dress already! Our wedding is in June and my dress isn't getting in until the end of next month. You're a lucky girl!
