Golf Club of Dublin

I am having my wedding and reception at The Golf Club of Dublin next month. Since booking with them almost a year ago they have since then filed for bankruptcy and went under new management. I recieved a phone call the other day telling me the planner had beenworking with was let go and I would now be working with someone new. This is just VERY frustrating. I was wondering if anyone else is using them for ceremony or reception? If so, what is The Golf Club telling you?

We are not going thru this with the Golf Club of Dublin, but with another venue in the central Ohio area. We booked our reception venue last May, and then when we were home 4th of July weekend, I was notified that the lady we were working with had been let go and we would be working with someone new for the menu, etc. I was freaking out at first bc they couldn't find our deposit since the former lady was bad at record keeping, but they found it and we had our canceled checks to prove it if need be.

Actually things couldn't be better. The new lady is great to work with and is doing everything she can to help make our day the best it can be. Heck, she responds to my e-mails about this and that when something pops into my head.

I hope things work out for you as well. As long as you have proof of your reception, prices you were quoted, etc you should be fine. If not, I would pull out your paperwork and ask for a refund. Most of the time when this happens, though, good business practice is to honor whatever you have already been quoted and go from there.

I live near there and heard they brought back Tracy who used to work there to consult with brides. My neighbor had her wedding there with Tracy and the day went flawless. Hope this helps.
