Vendor Reviews, Part 2

London Limos-A-

I had read some reviews shortly before the wedding that really worried me. Unfortunately, the remaining balance had been due a month before the wedding so they had already been paid in full. In the end, they showed up on time and got the job done. The driver was friendly enough the trolley was clean. I will say that I didn’t like the fact that I paid a huge deposit when booking (something crazy like 60%) and that the driver’s gratuity was included in the bill.

Zuzus petals-A+

Natalie and Dan were awesome. The flowers turned out GORGEOUS and exactly like I wanted. They worked within our budget and were able to put sample bouquets and centerpieces together for me beforehand and that way I was able to make any changes I wanted. We also made a couple last minute decisions like buying mason jars and adding flowers to our escort card table and they were completely accommodating with everything. The bouquets, centerpieces, flowers on the escort card table, blooms on the canopy, and petals lining the aisle were all absolutely stunning and I could not be happier.

Quartet Parapluie-A+

Melissa was so sweet, patient and helpful when I was picking out my music for the ceremony. I really wanted classical music but something a little less traditional than what is typically used in weddings. She even made me a cd of a couple songs I wanted to hear and delivered it to my house! Also, she agreed to come to the ceremony site an hour early so she could play the processional music while we did a run through. Amazing.

Bake-A+

Very reasonably priced and everything was delicious. I sent Jennifer pictures of how I wanted the cake decorated and it turned out beautiful!

Mia-Sorella (onsite hair)-A

Jessica was very sweet and worked with me to find a hairstyle (a low chignon) that I loved. She also came to the hotel on the day of the wedding did all of my bridesmaids hair and all of them looked beautiful. I will say I was kind of upset that I had a couple strands of hair that kept falling out but this was more likely due to the fact that my hair was done around 11AM and the ceremony wasn’t until 6. Plus, it was super windy that day and we took pictures outside, people kept hugging me and when they put their arms around my neck it would mess up my hair, and I had a couple shorter layers that I suspect were the root of the problem. The other thing was that I had to go out to Barrington for my trial which was kind of inconvenient seeing as I live in the city, but she did not charge extra to come out to Chicago for the wedding.

Sonia Roselli (onsite makeup)-A+

Rebecca did an incredible job on my makeup. She was very respectful of the fact that I wanted it to look natural and made me feel like a more beautiful version of myself, but not overly made up. She did end up forgetting something and having to run home for it, but she stayed as long as she needed to finish all of my attendants and then didn’t charge them, which was very nice. The makeup stayed put all night long and I got a ton of compliments! She is a little more expensive than what I originally wanted to pay for makeup, but in my opinion, totally worth it!

Mary Catomy-A+

I don’t think I can say much that hasn’t already been said about Mary. She did a fantastic job at an amazing price and I am so happy I was able to book her!
