bridal shows in chicago

what are some of the better bridal shows in chicago?  which ones have you gone to and which ones would you avoid? does anyone have any free-be's or coupons?

i'll start with the indie wed show.  the show was real nice for the first year.  it was a bit small but it hit all the points.  independent, innovating, and creative!  the location was beautiful.

    I highly recommend signing up for emails from CS Brides.  Any of their events that I've attended have been awesome.  You walk away with a ton of vendor discounts, important information, and goodies.  The best one that I went to was the Oak Street Bridal Walk in October.  It was $65 for brides I believe, but well worth it!  I had the best time, sampled tons of treats, drank a lot of champagne, and left with a a goodie bag so large I could barely carry it!  A lot of the vendors will give you gift cards to use or a 10-30% off discount.

    I would try to avoid the Bridal Expo events.  In my opinion, it was over kill.  Too crowded, desperate vendors, and too much going on to really be helpful.

    Ditto about Bridal Expo, it was a waste of time in my opinion. Although I did find the place I got my dress there and got 20% off, so maybe it was worth the insanity, haha.  Love Brews was just an event that a bunch of the local vendors did, including Kio Kreations, outr florist, I didnt go, but it looked great. Indie looked cool and I have heard the higher end ones in the city are really nice. But I would imagine they have higher priced vendors as well, so keep in mind what you are looking for. Oh and you can always go to Bridal Expo for free, I get free tickets in my email about every other day, haha

    bridal expo seems like its a job fair.  i guess it woudln't be bad if it was free! 

    does anyone know if there are any destiation wedding expos?

    bridal expo is like a cattle call.  I've been to it a few times trying to win the free honeymoon & all I get is a panic attack from all the people & a TON of junk mail from the vendors.

    Feb'12- Clomid/TI with CD3 &21 labs(normal)& SA-count 6mil/ml,morph/motil OK-BFN
    April'12 Ultrasounds,HSG -clear, slight acurate uterus
    5/14 IUI #1-50 mg clomid-post wash total motile count 19.3 prometrium 2dpiui= BFN
    6/11-IUI #2-100 mg clomid & prometrium post wash count total motile 17.5 = BFN
    7/6 IUI#3 with 100 mg clomid, estridiol, prometrium. post wash total motile count 23.3 = BFN
    8/30IVF#1 BCPs, Follistim, Menopur,Ganerelix,Novarel.
    ER 9/11-8R, 7M, 5F.
    ET 9/14 2 embies transferred. 1 10cell Grade 4, 1 8cell Grade 4. No frosties. BFN
    IVF#2 BCPs, Follistim, Menopur, Ganerelix, Novarel, Baby Aspirin
    ER 12/5-16R, 12M, 8F!
    ET 12/10 5dt! 1 fully expanded blast & 1 early blast. No frosties. BFN
    2/13- Saline sono revealed a polyp. All additional labwork coming back normal. Genetic screen revealed DH has MTHFR deficiency & I am a carrier for it.
    3/13 hysteroscopy & polypectomy
    next up-Reproductive immunologist Appt 3/27, cycling in may?

    yeah, it is a lot of junk mail, for sure!  we went to the bridal expo in orland a few weeks back. it was SO crowded and hot... however, I did find the expo helpful in getting information on a ton of vendors.

    we are going to the bridal expo downtown in a couple weeks at the swissotel.  im only going bc i want to see the fashion show!

    Ditto to Indie Wed! It was the only show that I went to, but there were lots of unique vendors.  I heard they are planning on expanding it for next year so hopefully there will be more space to move around. I wasn't a fan of the fashion show though--hard to see and the dresses were, um interesting.
