Hi brides to be,

My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary this past Saturday...    I told him that I'd marry him all over again. 

We decided to do an intimate wedding that included just our immediate families last April.  It was 20 of us and we chose Riva on Navy Pier as our venue.

It was really nice to be able to celebrate our one year anniversary where we had our reception...  all of the memories flooded back.  They have fantastic seafood and treated us to dessert.

I wanted to share in the event any of you ladies were considering doing something really small.  We don't have any regrets.  We were able to spend quality time with both of our families and at the end of the day we were married.

Congrats! I believe that if you do what you want, you won't regret it, even if it isn't "traditional." Your post totally backs that up.

Your post made me smile and breathe a sigh of relief.  We are doing the same thing.  About 20 people on a boat in Lake Geneva.  While I know it's what we want and it sounds perfect, sometimes it's hard not to second guess yourself when seeing everything on here and everything that is out there.

I'm so glad that you enjoyed so much and that you have no regrets.  Also so nice that you got to relive the moments for your anniversary!

Thanks for sharing! It's so easy to get caught up in all the details and I have to keep reminding myself that it's really about sharing our love with our close friends and family.

Congrats on your 1 year! Such a fabulous story too! It just goes to show you don't have to have a huge over the top wedding to have cherished memories.
