Any questions to ask reception vendor during tasting?

We have our tasting today (aka I will be fasting for the next 8 hours so I can pig out!). Any questions that you specifically asked your vendor at this time? Here are a few that I have on my list...
1. Our photog sent my some pics of a wedding she recently shot at Pazzo's and the bride had gold chargers, I'm wondering if those are through a rental company or through the venue.
2. Can we have a signature drink? (probably should have asked this before booking but it's not a make or break)
Anything else you can think of?

I had them run through the timeline with me because I had so many questions about how things went. So I would do that.

Also, ask about keeping your top cake tier if you want to. (We are keeping ours, but not freezing it, I just figured we could eat some the next day since I have heard some people not even taste their cake they were so busy).

Good time to ask about Sig Drink, my venue just emailed me last night to see if I wanted one, now I am racking my brain.

I also asked about dropping stuff off for them to set up beforehand and  if I could keep stuff there afterwards and pick it up the next day.

Ask about payment if you don't know. We had to get a cashiers check...

I asked about table arrangments, how many people at each, layout of the tables, could we do a sweetheart, etc

Wow, that is a lot, haha sorry so long...have so much fun, the tasting is really fun!!

Some of my questions were about dropping things off, do they supply things like votive candles, chargers, chair upgrades/covers...and since we're doing the ceremony there, what the change out is like, do they have an aisle runner, etc.  Also, what time do people have access to the venue to set up - florist, DJ, cake delivery.

BTW - Pazzo's DOES supply the chargers (either silver or gold) and the votive candles for tables.  :)

I never asked about a signature drink.  :(  I suppose it's too late now!

Have fun!!  I can't wait to hear what you choose.

Some of these you may have already covered, but...

Timeline is very important, especially when it comes to the toasts. Discuss whether you want food to be served during the toasts or to wait til they are over (remember, if they're serving during a toast, you will hear lots of clinking of dishes and people aren't paying attention cause you've just set food in front of them). Usually the kitchen will need to know how many toasts and when they are happening, as they use them as cues for when to start plating etc.

Vendor and kids meals -what they get and how much it costs?

What will vegetarians or people with gluten allergies get? Any difference in cost?

Final count details - usually you can increase the number after you've submitted it, but you can never decrease it. We ended up paying for 9 people's dinners that didn't show up for various reasons. If I could go back, I'd give my actual final count -10 and then increase it the day before.

Also, for final count if you have people that aren't children but aren't 21 yet, how do they charge for them?

Will the bar close during dinner? What wine will be served with dinner? Will everyone receive a champagne toast (it was extra $ at our venue)?

Will cake be served immediately following the entree or later on in the evening?

    HTH!

We have a vegatarian and a vegan guest so we needed 2 different minue options for each guest. They assured me that was no problem and advised me that I need to let them know who needs the special meals.

We also asked about set up of our DIY centerpieces. We are not having a DOC so we needed help setting up. They will charge a fee for that, but at least we have the help we need.

We're going to get down the nitty gritty as far as timelines closer to the wedding, in about a month or so with the venue.

Ditto on the final payment. Ask now. We had to go back to the bank for a cashier's check for our final payment, I was just going to write a personal check.
