Just wanted to take a moment to let you all know how professional and talented Sue is from Sue's Bridal Alterations. She did a beautiful job altering my gown and spent a few hours with me in the dress configuring a sweep train out of a long train for me using bustle techinque. She spent hours on the first visit pinning it up for the hem which was 6 layers to sew. Then on the second visit she did the bustle.
Originally I wanted her to cut the train off and she refused. GREAT CALL. She said she could create what I wanted without cutting it off, and man did she deliver.
So, I do have the option now of having bridal portraits with the long train, and having a sweep for the wedding which is what I always wanted. A few other tweeks to the shoulders were done and she sewed up the plunging neckline a bit, but I will probably have her do more because I generally don't wear a neckline that makes the boobs the main attraction. But that is the style of the dress.
Sue is very much a perfectionist, takes hours to make it perfect and as she says, she wants to make the gown
"the most beautiful" ......
Loved her and her service...., Here's a shot of the dress for you. I dont have a shot of the original train but it was your standard chapel train very wide and long,

This is the shape, basic A line with empire waist, the band is blinged up. My wedding is vintage so the dress is perfect.

The bottom of the lace is scalloped she spent a lot of time getting every scallop to match.

Side view of the bustle/sweep train.

Here's the bodice, a bit too plunging for me, but I know she can fix that.
