Hi ladies, we had our e-pic session today and I was talking with my photographer about random stuff when she asked who our videographer was. She said something that I never thought about when booking either her or the videographer: you need to make sure your photographer and videographer work well together! She was telling me a story about this one particular videographer (who will remain unnamed) who ruined so many of her shots because he/she wasn't willing to talk to the photographer on shots/locations. One instance there was like 11 minutes to get outdoor pics before it started to rain and because of him just worrying about getting his stuff done, he wasted 8 of those 11 minutes so the photographers had to cram so much into a short amount of time.
I never thought about this at all when researching vendors. If you have one of the 2 booked, ask for references on who they see that does a great job for the other. The videographer we ended up going with got 2 thumbs up from our photograper.
