Last night my husband and I had our 'at home reception' after our DW at Pinstripes in Northbrook. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the restaurant/event space.
Because this was not our actual wedding day, the event had a more laid back feel. We rented out the backyard space including the two outdoor bocce ball courts for four hours. We did stations (appetizers, pasta, pizza/flatbread, and gelato). The food was really delicious. Our guests loved the pasta station, the prosciutto/fig flatbread, and the pistachio gelato (which came with two other flavors in a huge ice sculpture serving dish).
The space itself is GORGEOUS. It overlooks a prairie type area, includes an outdoor fire chimney thing, and has plenty of space for informal seating. People seemed to really enjoy having the bocce ball courts for something to do. Oh, there is also live music outside every Friday and Saturday, so we had musicians that we did not even have to pay for. The saxaphone player who was there last night was great too (I believe his name was Ray Silkman or something very similar to that).
Last, the staff was soooo nice. I have some elderly relatives who have special needs, and they accomodated them. They also made sure to put aside leftovers for my husband and I.
Anyway, if anyone has any questions about Pinstripes, let me know on this board or through a PM. Hope everyone else had/is having a great weekend!
