monograms

i  have seen some people that have created thier monogram with the initials. I wanted to know what program you guys have used to create this.

    PowerPoint is the easiest to use unless you are good with photoshop or another advanced program. There are some tutorials floating around the internet, but the basic idea is to put each letter in a separate text box using awesome fonts that you find for free on www.dafont.com, arrange them to your heart's desire, select all, right click and group them together. Once the boxes are grouped, youc an save it as a picture. I recommend using .png so that there is not a white box in the background. This site has some monograms that you can customeize: http://www.weddingchicks.com/. This question is asked very frequently on the DIY board, so if you want more ideas, take a look.

    If all else fails, you can have one custom made on etsy for $5.

    Honestly, I just used Word.  I made the paper smaller, changed the color, font, added a border, and done. Then I saved it as a jpg to be able to use it. HTH!
