Week Rental in City or surrounding areas??

My future Mother in law lives out of state and is looking to possibly rent a house or a condo of some sort for the week of the wedding to stay in and possibly host some of her OOT guests. Our ceremony is close to  University village and our reception is in the Rosemont/Ohare area. So anywhere central or on the outskirts would be ideal. I don't know how to begin helping her search for something like this. I'm assuming there would have to be furnishing of some sort included. Any suggestions??

thanks in advance.

I've never used them, but my uncle has used Vacation Renals By Owner (vrbo.com). Might be worth a try.

Great question.  My mom is looking for the same thing.  I am looking forward to other responses.

You could try looking on craigslist.com. There is a vacation rental board.

hmm, there is an agent on Damen near Ashland that I know does weekly rentals, next time I drive by I will write down the name.  One thing to note, they are cracking down on this in the city because of some drug dealers renting places by the week

You could also just look at hotels with extended stay accomodations. For example, 2 of my hotels have kitchenettes for my blocks (just a coincidence, not why we chose them). I know the Belden Stratford, which is downtown rents apartments for longer periods. Also executive rental type places might rent for a week (maybe require longer though). I'd try a hotel with a kitchenette, I think that would be your best bet. As well as VBRO (my family has used this site and had great luck).
