Recovering from wedding burnout

Hi ladiesI've mia for a little while but I've missing you all. I've been peeking in periodically. Seems I've over due on lots of Congratulations!! I know I've seen some  absolutely beautiful pictures and gorgeous brides.I've been suffering a combination of wedding burnout and jetlag. Not wanting to think of anything wedding related - no decisions, no thoughts, no ideas, was just plain old "bleah" - complete "I don't care mode". So I drowned myself in a few yummy trips, Holland, then Hawaii, Sydney, and this weekend it's off to Hawaii and Bangkok. My poor little body has no idea what time zone I'm in or should be.But I'm throwing myself back in planning mode as it's less than 2 months ago. I'll test drive some shoes when I get home (thank goodness for online ordering). I confirmed my bus. Officiant is booked. Bridesmaids dresses are done. Flowergirl dresses just arrived. Rsvps are coming in :)I'm back!! Now time to catch up on all the posts :)

I was just thinking yesterday where you were!  Oh yeah, you were going on all those trips - hope it was a total blast! don't worry about being "blah" about wedding planning - in the end, the most important thing is your vows and commitment to each other expressed in marriage.

Jen!! How are you?!? How's the training for the triathalon? As fun as the trips are, I'm tired of packing and unpacking. And I think I'm starting to reek of airplane ;)

How long will you be in Hawaii and Bangkok?  So it's your 2nd trip to HI recently? Well, i hope it's restorative - Hawaii is better than anywhere for that, right? Tri training is ... going.  I keep snacking at night, and it's not because i'm hungry - it's sort of this new compulsive thing.I think my cardiovascular endurance is getting better, but I also think I'm gaining weight (cuz of the eating).  Ug.i'm going to go see in you bio if you have pics of the flower girl dresses.: ) jen

it looks like you updated your bio since the last time I saw! I am still so in love with your dress.  And I really like your cake inspiration - perfect colors - matching with the invites and the BM dresses!

Jen... I seriously admire for your triathalon training. I can only dream of such discipline so don't be so hard on yourself for the snacking! You need the energy for all your extra workouts and calorie burning. And weight gain - it's probably all muscle! Do you have a specific date set for your triathalon or are you training and then finding one when you are ready? I did update a few things on my bio. I found the bridesmaids dresses at JCPenney. The picture makes the color look a little weird but it really looks like a nice deep wine color, not too red and not too purple. Luckily no alterations needed for them either - they fall mid-calf on my short sisters. The flowergirl dress just arrived yesterday. Ivory but I will add a colored sash to them. But they're too long, like down to the ankles on the girls (or so I'm guessing since they haven't tried them on). I don't want them tripping on them so I'll have them altered to just below the knees. Travel wise.. I'm lucky to have a fairly flexible schedule to take my time off, we can even swap days with co-workers if needed. Most of my trips (especially Hawaii) are usually only a 3-day weekend and then back on a plane. For Sydney, we managed to stay there for a week. But I'm paying the price now, with a 12-day stretch of work - aggghhh! Only 1 more day to go and I'm off to Hawaii to meet my parents and we'll all travel to Thailand together for a week. *I'm thinking I also need to take a trip to LA and do some shopping in this fashion or wholesale area you mentioned before.

and a gtg with some Socal knotties (me! me!)  if you come to LA!  I'll take you around to the shopping areas if you want. love the flower girl dress!  so so cute.  why do you have to travel so much, and why 3 day trips to Hawaii?  did you say it was for work?  I can't believe you may have just written it and I can't remember.  darn not being able to see your reply.

oh yeah, triathlon is on Sep 20.  and my exercise ticker - i'm setting low goals for myself (like working out 4x/week instead of 6) so I cen succeed on those first and then try to move up.

YAY!!!!  You're back!!!  I've been MIA as well so it's nice to see you back.  You've gotten more done than I have during your MIA period.  Bridesmaid dresses... not done.  What did you decide for yours?  PIP PLEASE!!!!  I've missed chatting with you.  I still don't have internet at home so I haven't really been on my regular email account (I'm bad, I knot from work now).  Can't wait to hear more details... and see the shoes!!!

i TOTALLY understand about your traveling/body/time zone woes! I have been trying to take full advantage of my summer break (a month) and have had hardly any time to rest. I just feel lazy if I'm not doing something! I flew to CA for 5 days, then HI for 9 days, then WA for 3 days, back to HI for 6 days, then to CA again, took a 4-hr road trip up north to go camping, and now I'm back home but head to NY on Sunday night for school. I am really hating planes right now, but i had to get some travel time in since I can't really do it during school. Good luck with the rest of your planning!!!

Irish - I miss you too!! Seems like it been ages since we chatted. I finally got around to finishing my email to you. Lucked out and found cute dresses from JCPenney. And they were on sale and the right sizes. I was hoping for long dresses and these were past the knees for tall people so perfect for my sisters with no hemming required. Aubrey - Holy cow!! You must reek of airplane too!! Kidding! That is one serious itinerary but sounds like it was a much needed break from all your school. How long will you be in NY? I would have loved to live in NY for a little while. I tried to get a transfer years ago and they didn't want me, and I ended with an offer for Atlanta instead.
