Using my own officiant?

Hi ladies! I work for a church and a couple of my pastors are coming to my destination wedding, and I wanted to use one of them as my officiant. Anyone know what the process for this would be? He's an ordained minister and currently works for our church... does he have to be ordained in Hawaii as well? Has anyone else brought their own officiant from home?

We're using our own. Basically, they just need a letter of reccomendation from the church in your home state where they work (either from the head pastor, or if that's them, then from a board of directors at the church or someone in the church administration) saying that they are ordained, etc. and submit that along with some basic paperwork to the Department of Health (go to the Hawaii Department of Health website and all the info is there) They can easily get licensed to do one ceremony. If they aren't affiliated with a church the process is a little different but you don't need to worry about that as yours are already ordained in a different state.
