I loved the Secret Garden, it all seemed so magical. I was also a big fan of a book called The Hidden Treasure of Glastonbury which was about a novice monk who uncovers the Holy Grail. Oh! And another one called The Gauntlet which was about a boy who travels back in time to medieval England. It's a good thing I'm marrying a Brit - I definitely have a thing for England!

When I was younger I really enjoyed reading scary stories, which has scarred me for life because now I am deathly afraid of the dark, scary things, ect. But, I really enjoyed the Goosebumps series, I would read those books constantely. Anything that had to do with ghost stories, haunted things, ect, I would find in the library. When I was really little I liked Rainbow Fish and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I cant really pick just one....=)

my favorite book as a little kid was If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. I had that thing memorized! I think it was the first book I could read on my own, except I always stumbled over the word "comfortable". :)

Secret Garden was definitely one of my favs.  I also remember The Egypt Game & I think I liked them for the same reasons...they were both so magical & really got your imagination working. When I was really little, I loved the "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" book.  I think I liked that one so much b/c I too really like cookies!!

It's Night Night Time - we read it every night before Bed.  It lets me know my day is nearly over too so it's good for Kids and Adults lol

I liked The Boxcar Children series.  I think it's because it's one of the first chapter books my mom read to me before bed.  I also thought it was pretty neat how 4 kids managed on their own.I also liked the Babysitter's Club series!

Fun question! As a child, I had a bunch of small hardcover books sitting on my bookcase in my bedroom:- A series of Bear Stories by Frank Asch (Sand Cake, Milk and Cookies and Popcorn all stick out in my head)- Berentstain Bears- Books written or illustrated by Jerry Smath (But No Elephants, The Clown-Arounds, Henry's Awful Mistake)Sadly, I have no idea where any of these books are.  I think they were lost/trashed when my parents divorced 5 years ago and we had to sell my childhood home.  :(

So funny how people mentioned the Babysitters Club series...I collected them all (along with the boxcar children, sweet valley high, and all judy blume books!!) I was obsessed with my book collection...I wanted to keep them for my future daughter! I ended up giving away to my niece instead.  I loooved the bedtime stories my mom would read to me...especially the Rumpelstiltskin story!

There's too many to chose.  I remember collecting the Berenstein Bears books.  I would always look at the back cover (which had all the books pictured there) and i just wanted them ALL.  I actually still remember a lot lessons that were taught in the books.
