Photo sharing websites

I know this has been discussed before but I am wanting set up a website for my guests to share their photos.  Anyone have recommendations for good, user friendly websites?

I recommend flickr, mainly because you can download the high resolution images. Buy a pro account for $25 and you have unlimited amount of space (versus their free account). Here was my wording for our photo sharing cards:Please share your photos with us!Just follow these steps to upload your photos:1. Visit www.flickr.com click “Sign In” on the top right.Login name: Password: 2. Click on “Upload Photos & Video”, then click on “Choose photos & video” to browse your computer for your images. Click “Add More” to upload more than one picture. 3. Click the “Upload Photos and Videos” button.Describe your photo if you would like. Visit www.flickr.com/photos/jeremy_mariko to view the gallery of all wedding photos (even if you didn’t take any).5. To download an image, click on the imageyou wish to download.

Thanks marikoono!!!  I was wondering how to go about sharing photos.  I thought most people just put their photos on facebook (which I only joined to get on the parasol schedule :)), but this might be exactly what I was looking for.

I used Picasa in much the same way Mariko used flickr - gave guests the user name and password, etc. I think you can download high-res pics from Picasa as well - mariko, do you know? Btw, Mariko - OMG, that drawing of the two of you is so so so so AWESOME!!!!  It even looks like you guys are at Byodo Temple and everything.  Wow, you are really talented!

i've been doing a little research on what site is the best, and i'm leaning towards flikr as well.  being able to download full-resolution images is a must (i was originally going to go with shutterfly, but they don't have that ability).  there are a few others that looked like they might work (e.g. smugmug), but i think flikr is the best for the price.

marikoono, did you print your own photo sharing cards front and back, or did you order them from somewhere?

Jamie - what about Picasa?  Do you know if it's full-res?  I'm going to go over to their website and try to find out.

jen, now that you mention it, i'm not sure i looked into picasa earlier.  i took a look and it looks like you can download full-res images.  i'll have to look more into that one!elaine, i was planning on making my cards through vistaprint.  they often have deals for free business cards.  i used them a loooong time ago and was happy with the results.  from the reviews i've seen, the quality is good, but just be careful you don't click on any ads or misleading links.

Jen, I'm 99% sure that you can download hi-res from picasa too...I think a few girls from weddingbee used picasa.Elaine, I printed them myself, front and back. If you don't do them yourself, I second using vistaprint.

Thanks marikoono!  I hope you don't mind that I'm totally going to use your photocard idea!!!  I don't know if I can be as creative, but the instructions are exactly what I needed.  Did you do them in postcard size, like the Avery preformatted kind?If I can't create a cool photocard template, I'll most likely just do something simple/text only and try to print myself or go through vista print. Thanks again for the suggestions.  It's coming down to the wire, and there are so many things I need to do, and this board keeps reminding me of what I need to do and giving me so many great ideas!!!

We used Kodakgallery for ours...  they used to be free but now they ask you to make a"minimum purchase" depending on how much you have stored on their site.  They also allow original high res downloads.  We used them 'cause I have been using them for years and was familiar maneuvering through their site.  I know most others really like picasa & flickr, though.
