reception woes

so, it is now 3 months out and the boy had decided he wants to possibly change the reception venue (we already have invites printed by the way).  i just want him to be happy, but i'm not really that keen on changing venues.but b/c i love him i'll check this out, can you ladies provide any insight on receptions at mulligans?  we originally had it set at 5 palms, but now he wants to do the welcome dinner there instead.  or at spices.  and he wants me to find out what people think of these places.  and i think i'm gonna cry.any help would be appreciated.

Wait.. where was it supposed happen? And why does he want the venue to be changed? Did you put down a deposit? How many people are coming?

I've heard good things about Mulligans.  Not sure about Spices... But why does he want to change venues?  The 5 Palms looks good too.  Could you stick with 5 Palms for reception and do welcome dinner at Mulligan's?

no, don't cry!! but i agree with peachmango...i'm sure you have already put down deposits and you already printed the invites. i would keep the reception at 5 palms and do the welcome dinner at mulligans. i'm sure you can't go wrong with either place! by the way, your wedding is just 3 days before mine. i could not possibly think of changing venues at this point!

Yikes, that is NO fun to be dealing with!  Peachmango makes a great point.  Does FI realize you'd have to reprint all the invitations, which would be more $$?Sorry, though, I haven't been to either, but I think lisakeiko had her welcome dinner at Mulligans and had reviews on it...???

Yikes.  That's a lot of work to change the reception after the invites have been printed!  Why does he want to change the venue?

thanks so much for your replies and support.  sorry i havent responded.  i actually did cry.  and i'm hoping that will be my only freak out.but it was a bit of a fight, but i got him to agree to stay with 5 palms.  i'm not sure why he wanted to change at the last minute, but i suspect it was something his dad had said.again, thanks for the replies.  this board helps me stay sane!
