Today I spent 5 hours running around trying to buy some wedding stuff. I left my house this morning and headed to Pearl City Walmart then Pearl Ridge and then Ross. Next stop was Floradec where I spent much of my time. They have sooo much stuff to look at. haha By this time I was exhausted and hungry but I decided to go to the Keeaumoku Walmart too. I found my glass centerpieces there! Whoo hoo!! I'm in line at Walmart and behind me is an elderly man. My glass centerpieces are on the conveyor belt and the man says to me, "Those are really nice glass containers you have." A bit surprised to hear this from a man I say, "Well thanks, these are for my wedding." He congratulates me and asks me what I will be putting in the container. I told him how I planned to decorate it. He told me that was a great idea and they will look lovely. Then he says with a big smile, "My last marriage lasted (then he paused) 42 years." AWWWW!!! My eyes lit up when he said that and I had a huge smile on my face. I told him how amazing that was considering many couples only seem to last 4 years nowadays. When I was done at the checkout I said bye and he told me to, "Enjoy my life!" How amazing is that!! I hope that when I am 73 I can tell someone that my last (and only) marriage lasted 42 years!!!! He just made my day!
