Hawaii

North Shore location

I had locked in a private rental house to hold my ceremony and reception. Initially the owner had said it was fine. Then I had the DOC call to take a look at the space for me (specifically the backyard since I hadn't seen it for myself). Anyways, she just emailed me that upon discussion with the owner of the house, he would prefer it if we did our reception at another location! I'm crushed. I was really looking forward to having an intimate setting in the same location as where we were staying and where the ceremony was. I didn't want to worry about transporting anyone, paying separate fees for different locations, etc. It was just easier and cheaper. What do I do?? We're estimated approx. 30-50 guest with about 10 of those being children. Our other guests have put deposits on other houses near that house already and everything. I feel like my plans are falling apart. Thanks for listening to me rant. If anyone has any other locations ideas, please let me know. I do have time but we are on a very tight budget. And my FI is SET on doing it on the North Shore of Oahu. Thanks Ladies. = (

I am getting married at the Ke Iki Beach Bungalows on Sunset Beach on the North Shore!! It is a fabulous location. All of my vendors have done several weddings there. And the best part is that my guests can stay there as well!! I fell in love with it just based off of the website, and then we went last March to check out the location and fell in love even more. My cousin, and my grandparents have both been to Hawaii since then and have also checked it out and the LOVE it!! The only minor drawback is that the manager, Greg, is COMPLETELY on Hawaiian time, so you won't always get the quickest responses. I can explain more by email if you want. But that also provides us with a lot of flexibility because we can do anything. His wife, Annie, is a caterer, and she can cater for weddings if you want. We decided to go with someone else based off of recommendations of friends. I can't tell you how excited I am for the wedding at this location. Our family/friends are renting all 11 bungalows, so we will all be staying together. All of our vendors (photographer/caterer/DJ/ukelele player/florist) have said incredible things about the weddings they've done at this location!! Check out my planning bio for more info. And email me at leah.mcfarland at gmail.com for more information if you want =)http://www.keikibeach.com/Hope this helps!!
