How to Transport Dress - Carry-on?

Hi, my seamstress suggested that I carry the dress with me on the plane as I am getting married in Maui. Is this how everyone else plans to bring the dress for a destination wedding?

    See below - there's a whole thread on this from just a couple days ago: "Flying with your wedding gown" from Pink Maui. Most people carry it on.

    CARYY ON is the way to go, depeding on who your flight is through, but I already called Hawaiian and they will let you put your dress in the first class closet and even let you board first in some cases, and even better you could score some upgrades! I would reccomend carrying on for sure. I would freak out if I shipped my gown and they lost it or it didn't get there on time. At least if you carry on you know it's with you!
