I'll answer my own too :)1. How'd you meet your FI/DH? Craigslist personals!!2. When you met, did you know he was the one? Were you looking for "the one"? I was on dating burn-out but bored and would have been happy as long as he had all his teeth and was within reasonable shape.3. What does your FI/DH do for work? Does he have any special hobbies or sports? He's usually an engineer in the semiconductor field but got laid off (so now my cabana boy). And when he has any free time, he'll go sailing or biking.4. What's FI/DH's favorite drink - in a bar? in a coffee shop? Does he know your favorite drink and willing to order? Unlike me, FI will not pop into a bar alone, and when I drag him into one, he'll usually order a beer. His comfort zone is really in a coffee shop and he loves cappuccinos. I'm finicky so I order drinks according to my mood.5. If he had to order dessert, would he choose chocolate cake, ice cream, fruit, or pie? It's usually chocolate unless it's someother dessert with apple.6. What's one thing your FI/DH does that you absolutely cannot stand? He eats raisins - loves them - and I can't stand (HATE almost) them. Don't like the smell or taste or texture, yet he loves them in cereal, trail mix, pastries - yuck!7. What's one thing about your FI/DH that you've come to love and know you miss when he's not around? I miss cracking up and laughing about stupid things. Sometimes it's crazy face expressions, sometimes it's just jokes or stories which don't always come across the same on the phone (we're semi-long distance).

Were you looking for "the one"?  I was not looking for anyone, I was one year divorced, and that was the last thing on my mind.I knew he was the one right away, but I had a huge wall up so it was hard to let go.3. Were you looking for "the one"?  Not even close....I wanted a boy toy LOL.  I had just gone through a divorce and wanted fun.  Then I fell in love with that fun lol.3. What does your FI/DH do for work? Does he have any special hobbies or sports?  He owns a carpet cleaning/floor maintenance company.  Hobby - Watching UFC.4. What's FI/DH's favorite drink - in a bar? in a coffee shop? Does he know your favorite drink and willing to order?  Typically out he orders beer but also like Vodka and Chambord5. If he had to order dessert, would he choose chocolate cake, ice cream, fruit, or pie? Chocolate for sure6. What's one thing your FI/DH does that you absolutely cannot stand?  When he is really thinking hard he sucks on his lip and makes this sound that makes me want to bring harm to him lol7. What's one thing about your FI/DH that you've come to love and know you miss when he's not around?  His geekiness.  He got a physics degree in 3 1/2 years so is incredibly smart and sometimes tends to be just a rocket scientist geek and talk way over my head.  Funny story....when I met him I said to myself - it's a good thing this man is hot because I'll never be able to have a conversation with him LOL

1. How'd you meet your FI/DH? We met in High School. We were both in band, and his best friend, at the time, was dating my best friend, so naturally, we were going to have to talk sometime. 2. When you met, did you know he was the one? Were you looking for "the one"? Actually, yes. I had a boyfriend at the time, but he called me one night, and we talked for 6 hours, and I said to myself, Im going to marry him. And, its true! I know this sounds cheesy, but, it was love at first talk! 3. What does your FI/DH do for work? Does he have any special hobbies or sports? Right now he is a Math Tutor for a college, he is super smart. He is going to KU for Mathmatics, and wants to be an actuary or something along the lines of math. 4. What's FI/DH's favorite drink - in a bar? in a coffee shop? Does he know your favorite drink and willing to order? haha, he likes Coke/Pepsi, he drinks it all the time. He likes Margaritas, and Pepsi with Rum. 5. If he had to order dessert, would he choose chocolate cake, ice cream, fruit, or pie? Hes not a real dessert guy, but probably ice cream! 6. What's one thing your FI/DH does that you absolutely cannot stand? I know this sounds kinda bad, but sometimes I cant stand that he is so smart. Sometimes it makes me feel kinda dumb because he knows answers to alot of things. 7. What's one thing about your FI/DH that you've come to love and know you miss when he's not around? The way he acts when we are together, we are so silly. People think we are nuts, but we just love acting like kids!

1. Pete and I met at a party in college.2. I definitely did not know he was the one. I was only 19, so I wasn't thinking in that direction. I didn't even think of him as boyfriend material. That took a few years.3. FI is a financial advisor. He is an avid skier, biker, and runner. He loves ESPN.4. Pete orders beer at a bar and regular coffee at coffee shops. He knows what I like to drink and usually order for me.5. He doesn't have a super sweet tooth, but he does like ice cream.6. He's the most even tempered, chilled out guy until he gets in traffic. If you live in Denver and want to ski, you have to drive in bumper to bumper traffic sometimes for hours. He's not patient and he gets agitated. Not quite road rage but his attitude drives me crazy. Luckily he bikes to work every day so he doesn't have to deal with rush hour.7. I definitely miss snuggling with him when he's gone.  (Cheesy.)

Yay!  I haven't participated in a poll in a long time... 1.  I met my FI at military language training in California... but we didn't officially meet until I grabbed his butt in a bar at our second military training school in Texas.2.  I definitely had a clue that he was "the one".  I was absolutely NOT looking for "the one" or anyone for that matter but something about him, I just knew.3.  FI is in the Air Force but will be getting out soon.  He was a baseball player throughout his entire life so he's very good at that... he's also very in to fitness in general.  He is an excellent writer (I send my college papers to him to be shredded).4.  BEER!  All the way BEER!  He loves Sierra Nevada, especially their Porter but he loves all kinds of beers, loves to try different microbreweries.  At a coffee shop - regular coffee with a red eye (???? I think that's what it is... it's a double shot of espresso I think... I don't drink coffee).  He knows my favorite drink and would order it (or make it for me).5.  Ugh... the man doesn't like sweets all that much.  It drives me nuts cause I LOVE them.  He would probably order pie - banana cream.  6.  I can't stand that he doesn't eat sweets.  And that he constantly puts his empty bottles next to the trash - not in it.7.  I miss everything when he's not around... even his bottles sitting next to the trash.  But then again, we've been apart for 6 months now... so that's normal, right?

1. We went to highschool together, but didn't really know one another until we had a class together at LSU2. I knew I was smitten, but I don't know that I knew he was "the one" - i was only 19!3.  He is a sales rep for a wine & spirits distributor - so he has a very flexible schedule which I am often jealous of.  He loves football (sometimes I think too much!)4.  He doesn't drink coffee, but in a bar either a beer (he likes to try the small microbrews) or vodka & soda (yuck!)  He knows what I like & would be happy to order it for me.5. He is easy...he'll eat whatever I want (and I always want dessert) but his fav is probably carrot cake (another yuck!)6. He doesn't clean the shower & i hate it when it looks dirty, but he helps with everything else around the house (he cooks too!) so I can't really complain!7. snuggling!

1. I was in a sorority and he was in a fraternity. We were paired together for homecoming. I saw him one night and kept trying to get his attention, but he was having too much fun with his friends. The next day I went to the frat house to work on projects and I kept talking about him with his frat brothers, until one of them went into his room and told him "this really pretty girl won't shut up about you!" ... Darren thanked that guy two weekends ago during a game of golf when he told him he was going to propose. 2, I knew he was special... 3. He works as a merchandizer (w/ commodities) for a fortune 500 company. Eventually he will go back to farming though. 4. Bar - whiskey water, coffee - black coffee, and yes he always knows what I want. 5. Pie - banana cream 6. He pays $30 every 2 weeks to get his laundry done. He literally pays a lady who works at a laundry mat to wash, dry and fold his clothes. I personally think it's such a waste of money... 7. His scent, and his sense of adventure. Also the way he makes me feel beautiful no matter how I look.

Were you looking for "the one"? Way too young to even think about him being "the one." I knew he was "the one" almost instantly when we reconnected four years later. 3. What does your FI/DH do for work? Does he have any special hobbies or sports? He is currently laid off but he was/is a land surveyor. Oh fun!!1. How'd you meet your FI/DH? At a bar in New York right after he moved here from Australia. It was x-mas eve night...my dad met him first!2. When you met, did you know he was the one? Were you looking for "the one"? About a year after I met him...thats when we acutally started dating and I realized I was too in love with this guy to not do something about it!3. What does your FI/DH do for work? Does he have any special hobbies or sports? He works in finance and loves anything active...surf, runs, bikes. His is a good cold beer and a dry cappachino with skim milk and 1 packet of raw sugar. Yep, he can order all my drinks (dirty martini with Grey Goose and black coffee with a splash of soy). 5. 1. We were seated next to each other at a wedding reception. He was a friend of the groom and I was a friend of the bride.2. I didn't know he was the one the first instant we met but on our first date I knew he was something special by our third date I was hoping he'd be the one. When we first met I wasn't looking for the one was actually having major drama w/ my ex at the time.3. He's an attorney. Hobbies:basketball, soccer, running, biking, working out.4. Rum and coke. He knows my favorite drink is water so he always gets me bottle water even at clubs it's exactly what I'm craving. I know I'm odd I love water.5. Cheesecake and coffee6. His desk is super unorganized! He doesn't sort through his papers and mail so it all piles up. 7. His sense of humor and how affectionate he is.

1. How'd you meet your FI/DH?We met my freshman year at University of Hawai'i at Manoa in the dorms. We had mutual friends on his floor. I was visiting my friends one night and we got hungry after the cafeteria closed. FI offered to make me saimin. 2. When you met, did you know he was the one? Were you looking for "the one"?No. I wasn't looking because I had dated someone all through high school and was adjusting to being on my own. He claims he sent "signals" and flirted for weeks after we met and I did not notice. After a couple months of dating, I starting to feel there was something very special between us. 3. What does your FI/DH do for work? Does he have any special hobbies or sports? He's an attorney. He likes outdoorsy stuff like fishing, camping, hunting -- things a city girl like me cannot relate to! Together, we love traveling, going to the beach, body boarding, watching football, or playing with our kids.4. What's FI/DH's favorite drink - in a bar? in a coffee shop? Does he know your favorite drink and willing to order?His favorite drink at a bar, or after a long day at work, is ALWAYS an ice cold Coors Light. He doesn't drink much coffee, but once in awhile he'll order an Iced Mocha. He knows the drinks I like but I tend to order different drinks depending on my mood. He does know exactly what type of wine to bring home for a nice dinner and what beer to buy me at a football game :)5. I was looking for the one, but only casually....meaning I wanted to find the one, but also didn't really have my hopes up too much. I knew he was "the one" after about the third date. 3. What does your FI/DH do for work? Does he have any special hobbies or sports? He is a doctor, working in an urgent care clinic. He could be a pro photographer if he wanted (at least I think so!), that's his main hobby. 4. What's FI/DH's favorite drink - in a bar? in a coffee shop? Does he know your favorite drink and willing to order? Boring American lager, or boring black coffee....he's not very adventurous of an eater/drinker! He would definitely order something I liked if I needed him to! 5. If he had to order dessert, would he choose chocolate cake, ice cream, fruit, or pie? Chocolate cake, without a doubt! 6. What's one thing your FI/DH does that you absolutely cannot stand? He cuts his nails into the shower (not while in he's it, just standing over it), and doesn't rinse them down. So when I go to shower i step on them....disgusting! 7. What's one thing about your FI/DH that you've come to love and know you miss when he's not around? The way he leaves his fleece jackets everywhere! There's at least one in every room. But when I walk into a room when he's not home, I see them, and it somehow always makes me feel that he's not far away.
