hi ladies! i want to thank you for everything that all of you have done to make my day perfect. it just shows how much i used this board to plan because everyone was asking me, where did you find all these vendors and each time my response was girls from the knot. thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart. i am 4 days back from my honeymoon and i am totally miss hawaii! i swore before my wedding i said i would not miss the wedding planning or the stress after but i totally do! it is hard getting back to work! here are my vendor reviews. i have so much more to say and if you are interested or would like more details i am happy to help. just e mail me at ryandjenatlani09 at gmail.com. my photos are up on facebook too because i have no idea how to pip or if you would like to see my picasa albums shoot me an e mail also! location: lanikuhonua phase II - if i had to describe lani in one word it would be "breathtaking". as some of you may remember my wedding day was the day when felecia the hurricane was supposed to hit the island but thank god she stayed away. lani is probably the most romantic location i have ever been too. everything there seems like it was places perfectly from each tree to rock to the rock wall on the beach. it is just perfect! caterer: kenekes - i honestly could not say more about keith and his staff. they were amazing. everyone told me that the pupus were so good and there was so much of them that they were not really hungry when it came to the main course. keiths servers were extremely professional, attentive and non intrusive. the main course was presented excellently and exactly how i wanted it. the garlic mash potatoes were AMAZING and so was the mahi mahi. everything was great. i also had a last minute wedding crasher and keith was able to make an extra plate for me. he also provided me a vendor buffet for for a great price as well. for all that keith provided for my wedding the price was unbeatable. i really feel like i got such an amazing deal because his food and staff completely exceeded my expectations. i HIGHLY recommend kenekes! A+ day of coordinator : kathe garcia from gayle wedding - kathe was my rock during the week before i got married. i was so stressed out and i don't think i slept about 5 hours total after arriving to hawaii on the 5th up until my wedding. kathe was EXTREMLY organized and really on top of things. let me tell you we were all stressed out because of the hurricane but she did her best to calm my nerves. on the day of the wedding we were still dealing with weather issues but kathe was calm and took care of every problem without me even having to worry about it. she organized the menu and place settings for the reception and packed up all i needed to bring with me. kathe was wonderful and my family loved her. i HIGHLY recommend kathe!!! A+ decor and flowers: yvonne design - all i can say is i was so stressed out before the wedding and once i walked down to lani and saw the decor my mouth dropped. it was exactly what i wanted to a T! it was so beautifully arranged, our decor was breathtaking. everything about the table was arranged pefectly and the alter flowers were just amazing. i think i had about 10 revision leading up to my wedding. i actually changed my design completely about 5 weeks before the wedding and yvonne and team were able to make it happen for me. decor was extremely important to me and i really had a specific design in mind and yvonne was able to create that. all my guests were amazed at the decor and thought it was the best they had every seem. yvonne and team made my dream wedding come true. i cannot say enough about them. it was worth every single penny! i was beyond happy! A+++++ videographer: joshua fair/fish eye studio inc - josh and his assistant were so fun and great to have around. he really made me feel comfortable when he was shooting and made us all laugh. it is important that your videographer sets the tone and puts you at ease which is exactly what josh did. i think his videos he has on his site are awesome and his work speaks for itself. he was great to have around just to make us laugh! very very professional and wonderful to work with. i can't wait for my teaser! A+ rentals: catering connection - CC is so awesome! lei was so great was so willing to respond to all of my e mails and my millions of questions. she really helped me through the storm situation and attempted to find every possible avenue to make sure the wedding wasn't compromised as well as trying to look out for us monetarily as well. bruce (the owner) and lei made special arrangements so i was able to wait till the very last minute to order the backup tent. they really went out of their way for me as a customer who was only using their services for rentals. lei went above and beyond for me in every way. i would highly recommend CC and can assure you that they will take excellent care of you and have your best interests in mind at all times. A+++ bartending services: aloha on the rocks - shaun was great! the bar looked amazing and it was so clean. although i did not get to taste his drinks (note to brides take time to drink)i heard they were amazing. his lava flows as fresh coconut and strawberries in them and they were fantastic! the bar was never dirty, always clean and service was quick. shaun was super friendly with all our guest and was such a great guy. A+ dj/mc: Hi Def Productions - ryan was SOOOO awesome! i cannot say enough. i had about 5 different songs that i wanted played during the ceremony and he played them all right on cue. i didn't give him a song list at all but every single song was great. he provided awesome lighting and kept the night moving with total fluidity. all of my guest commented on how great he was and how i had picked such great music for all the sections of the reception. they were totally surprised to find out that all of the music was chosen by ryan. he was great and i would recommend if you are looking for a dj on oahu use him! ryan was also nice enough to connect me with his freind ron who was able to mc our wedding at the last minute. ron was great and he has a really good mc voice. he made great jokes, made us all laugh and was a great addtion to the wedding! totally happy with services A+++ chair rental: production hawaii - ally from yvonnes was able to find the black chivari chairs for me from production hawaii. i was able to get a great price. rea was so helpful and able to set aside the chairs for me to complete my vision. i was sooo happy! they delivered and picked up the chairs on time! great vendor. A and last but certianly not least.... photographer: the one the only shawn starr - what can i say about shawn. i loved him before i met him and now...i cannot say enough. he was so fantastic. i felt like it was our friend taking our photos for us. my fiance loved him and actually spent a lot of the night talking to him. he told me over and over man, that shawn was soo cool. we are both not very comfortable infront of the camera but shawn put us at ease and we were immediately comfortable. after the wedding shawn has been so great as well. still keeping in contact with me and answering all the post wedding questions that i have. we both plan to keep in touch and my sister and cousin who are getting married soon both want to use him. i am even considering moving my AHR to next early next year so i can fly him out! for those of you on the fence about which photographer to use, get shawn you will not be dissapointed. and to the brides who he is shooting in the up coming months YOU WILL BE SOOO HAPPY!
