I definitely wanted to host drinks (I hate paying for drinks at weddings). What do you think of having a serve yourself Mai Tai station and no other drinks be served? Is this a good idea or am I crazy? Please be honest......

Honestly, I think I'd have a couple of concerns. One - that not everyone likes mai tais (more than one makes me feel ill, I can't imagine a night of them). Two - I'd be concerned about liability issues of letting guests help themselves instead of having a bartender in charge of the drinks.

Agreed...I think it might be better to have some more variety, I don't really care for Mai Tais either! If you went with beer and red/white wine, I think you would appeal to the whole group. And also agreed about the liability issue...it would probably be better to hire a bartender for a few hours, just to save you the stress!

I definitely agree with the girls above--good idea, but could lead to a number of issues.
