Hey Alyson! I loved your lei that you wore for your wedding! Was it made of crown flowers or pikake? If it was crown flowers, did it smell? I know I've received a lei like that before but I can't remember if it smelled good or not (like FRAGRANT, not just like plant-smell). I don't think pikake is in season for my wedding so I wanted to use crown flowers as a backup... if they smell!

It was crown flower - but it doesn't smell at all. I tried to get pikake but was totally out of luck.

also... i was wondering where you got the flower in your hair? Was it a real flower?

It's a real flower! It's a phalaenopsis orchid. I got it from my florist (I got two of them, actually, which was good 'cause my brother pulled the first one out of my hair accidentally)! I really debated between having a real one or a fake one from etsy, but in the end I felt like, you know, I'm in Hawai'i. When else am I going to wear a huge orchid in my hair?
