Anyone inviting the President?

Hey ladies! I was just curious if any of you did or plan on sending an invite to President Obama? I am sure his schedule is already booked on 11/7/09 so he probably won't be able to to attend my wedding. hahaha But seriously, I think it would be wonderful to get a congratulatory letter from the President...this would be something I could put in my wedding scrapbook!!

Oh, yes he's an usher for mine! Hahaha. I am going to send an invite when I have them. I think it would be great for the wedding scrapbook as well. How AWESOME would it be if he stopped by...it wouldn't be impossible, he loves Hawaii! I don't know if I would want him to steal my spotlight though. Maybe he can come dance at the reception.

FI and I invited the president and Oprah, the other president. I wanted to invite Jack Johnson but couldn't find his address. I thought he'd maybe want to stop by and sing us a little song. Beats the iPod! I was totally that teenager that wrote to all of the fan clubs listed in Teen Beat magazine! But for real, when my grandparents celebrated their 60th anniversary, President Clinton, at the time sent them a letter.

You ladies are so funny! If he is by chance in Hawaii I hope he does stop by...heck he can sit at FI and I's table. hehehe On his last trip here he went to the Kaneohe Marine Base everyday to workout!! And that is where we are getting married. haha That is the address I found too...I did read an article that the President has been bombarded with invitations since he took office. So it may be quite a while before we hear back from him. I will keep my fingers crossed.
