Lulu's in Waikiki

Hey Guys I am getting married next Sept in Waikiki. My husband to be and I are not huge into the fancy type reception. We want something with good food, maybe some entertainment and Hawaiian culture. We are staying at the Park Shore and heard about Lulu's restaurant at the hotel and thought it would be perfect. Since we have never been there I am hoping that maybe some of you have and can let me know if it is alright for a reception. I went onto the website and looked at some of the pics and it really doesn't give me a good picture of what the place looks like. Any help or even pics if you have would help me out greatly. Thanks So Much Kim from Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Aloha and welcome,   We love Lulu's the view is great and honestly being local it is one of the only places we go on a regular basis.  How many  people are you having?  As far as a reception it would be great but as for "local food"  it is more pacific rim.  Great pupus.  It is rustic and open with all wood interior.  Nice nice people, it would be great for a reception if you want laid back party atmoshpere.Beth

Hey Kim, I actually just got back from Oahu and stayed at the Park Shore. We ate at Lulu's 3 times in about 5 days. Everything I had was great and there is live music at night. It's not a huge space. So I'd say it all depends on the amount of people you plan on having. I'm getting married on Oahu next May and am having my reception at Tiki's which is located right next door. You may want to explore that option as well. Feel free to email me if you have any questions about any of it.phishfood4u at gmail dot comAloha - Amber
