In honor of kaesha: Junior high!

Or middle school, whatever you call it.  For me way back then, it was called junior high.So in honor of Alyson beginning to teach this lovely new age group, I thought a fun poll was in order:What was your fashion style in junior high?  Your hair style?  Do you remember a favorite outfit and what was it?

God, I was just trying to be invisible in those grades. I remember wearing a lot of plaid shirts, ripped skinny jeans and suede ankle boots... which is the whole reason I will NEVER get into this season's fashions. The photos from 15 years ago are too traumatic.

Way back in 1987 (omg, I'm so old), the style was HUGELY baggy clothes (I was still able to wear what I had left in college, but then in the right proportion), stirrups, colored tube socks (wearing 2 colors at a time), and of course, pegged jeans! My hair style was permed, bangs, and the rest of the bangs frozen up with hair spray.  It was gross.  I would say I sort of had a split-level haircut.  The top part (like the crown) was shorter, and then the back was longer.  The baggy clothes thing was crazy - I even bought a shirt I liked from Lane Bryant.  And I was a size 1 or 3 back then, so it was stupid. My favorite outfit was the black stirrups, yellow and white tube socks stacked on top of each other, and a yellow and black button down shirt.  I wish I could remember what type of shoes I wore with that - probably my Tretorns or my K-Swiss!!Hey if you have pics, PIP them too, that'd be awesome!

Fashion style in middle school = California skater/surf chick. Haha. Think Roxy, Sugar, DC, etc. Short, jeans and t-shirts. My style really hasn't changed all that much.....Hair: long with bangs. Fav outfit: my 8th grade promotion outfit. Cute off-white eyelet dress, white cardigan, and 4-inch black strappy platforms. I loved loved loved the dress and the shoes!
