So I have been exploring and reading other boards tonight, and I cannot believe how RUDE some people are! I'm really appalled by some. I just want to say thank you to all you wonderful HI Knotties! This is the by far the most supportive board -- I have never seen anyone write anything negative at all!

Local boards tend to be nicer. I wouldn't necessarily agree that if people on other boards are very straightforward they're being rude. Honestly, though, if something I was thinking about planning is a bad idea and would offend people or hurt relationships, I'd want to know. And on some of those other boards, they will definitely tell you. Stuff that your friends will say behind your back, but not to your face. Wouldn't you rather know, though?

Licia, it's cool! We try here to be the aloha board, right?I do think some of the other boards are rude too. And, I also think the "but we're being honest" is just a excuse that some knotties use to be cruel. I'm an honest person as a general rule, and if I don't like something about your wedding, I'm not going to say that I do. But, I'm also not going to beat you down over it and make you feel like a moron, which is really what a lot of people want to do. I don't get a kick out of involving myself in that kind of drama. There are plenty of ways of disagreeing and being honest without acting like a 14 year old girl.

Well said Alyson... I haven't been on the other boards so I can not compare, but this board is very helpful and all the girls on here are always super supportive and caring.
