Centerpiece ideas?

I was wondering what other people were doing for centerpieces.  I am trying to keep costs down and have a simple wedding.  We're only have three tables, with a sort of tropical, beach, old hawaii theme.  Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?  Thanks!!

Pineapples :)  Very very cheap.  We put a few at each table along with candles.  I really l ike the tropical feel of it.  The best part is that guests can take it home and eat it!

Definitely pineapples and candles. Pineapples can be found at Costco for $2.89 or something like that. Im also picking up some vases at walmart for $4.00 filling them up with water and submerging fake orchids found at Michaels craft store and placing a floating candle on the top. I think it looks pretty neat. Im sure whatever you decide will turn out just beautifful. All the best to you.

Not my idea got it from another knottie. Unfortunately, I don't remember who so I cant give her credit but I loved it so much im using it. Im having only 15 people at my wedding. I picked up old vintage looking postcards at the Dole pineapple plantation. Ive addressed and stamped them. Im going to have everyone write a note/wishes to us, and my fiance and I are going to fill one out with a message for the other on or the night before our wedding day and then my sister is going to drop them in the mail for us. When we get home we should have them to read  and put in our photo album.  Depending on what island and what side your on  you can pick up hawaiian flower petals by the pound (a lot) for $3-4.

Ditto on pineapples...that's what we're doing...inadvertently matches our reception place's theme of old Hawaiian... Love it :) I think Costco/Sams Club may have the cheapest...or a farmer's market... :)

I did pineapples decorated with shell leis and raffia ribbon for my aisle. I ordered leis and orchids through an orchid farm that delivers to Costco. I got cymbidium orchids and submerged them in cylinder vases with black rocks that I borrowed from another knottie that lives on the island. We got the flowers for the cake through the orchid farm as well. Hope that helps=)
