my 1st centerpiece attempt

Hi Ladies,I need help!  I created a mock centerpiece and I feel like something is missing but I don't know what it is.  Please provide some feedback (good or bad).  I don't know what to add it make it look more complete.  What do you guys think about the cranes? Tacky?I hope the pictures will show up...my first attempt with PIP too!

Oops, I forgot the feedback part--I like the unique use of the cranes.  I feel like it does need a little something more...the crystals is a great idea.  Maybe think about adding a filler to the bottom third of the vase to kinda ground the branches--if you want an earthy feel, sand would be super cool.  Or maybe glass beads if you're going with the crystals. What do you think?

I also like the idea of some crystals hanging from it - like the kind on chandeliers?

I like it! If you don't like the idea of hanging crystals off of the top as I am assuming that everyone is talking about you could fill up the bottom with glass marbles if you watch Michael's they sometimes have the packets of them on sale for like a dollar each or maybe even try the dollar store. Some have them some don't. Just some new thoughts or... even some river rocks to make it more rustic of a feeling ... Good luck and nice job!Jen

Thanks so much for all the feedback.  I like the idea of filling the vase with something and hanging crystals.  Luckily, I will be in Florida next month so I can hit up Michael's and find some things for the centerpiece.  I will post again after I make the changes! You girls are great!!! Thanks again and have a great day!

I love it as well, I have no talent like that so thats great.. The only thing I would do is as others have suggested some crystals, or I have seen sticks like those you are using but they have lights... just brightens it up..

Looks great! So impressive with the DIY! I agree with everyone else about hanging crystals or adding the glass beads on the bottom. I love the look of branches, I'm using manzanita branches for some of my centerpieces too.

Hi!  I like Liz's (Nahokulele) idea of adding something to the bottom of the vase to ground it...  IMHO, I'm I'm on the fence about the cranes... can you PIP a close-up?  But the centerpiece looks great! And just for future reference, your PIP coding is correct, you just need to "un-bold" the middle part of the coding.

yay!  Thanks M&M's!  I will post cranes when I get home tonite.  I think it kind of looks like foil even though it was made using silver origami paper.

Here is a close up of the crane.  Maybe after I add the crystals and pebbles, I can take out the cranes?
