Yes, we used them to transport guests from Waikiki to our welcome party/luau at Kualoa Ranch (and back). We found out about Gomes from our friend who lives on Oahu. He works in a school and that's how he knew of Gomes. I guesst hey use them all the time. DH contacted Gomes and booked them for our welcome party. We had the guests picked up in front of Moana Surfrider (told them to look for the YELLOW school bus :-). We had the bus stop at Pali Lookout so guests can get off and take pictures. The guests were dropped off at Kualoa and then had them picked up at the end of the night, after the party. It worked out really well. Our guests didn't have to worry about driving back ~45 min to Waikiki especially after they've been drinking all night. Like you said, it was cheap so it worked for us since we paid for the bus to transport the guests. The bus has no a/c but it's Hawaii so you don't really need a/c. Our guests didn't seem to mind at all. Yep, we paid them on the day off. At first we were worried that they'd be unreliable because they didn't ask for deposit or anything. We figured out later that it's just how they are..they're just laid back like everybody else on the island lol. I think we paid by check. Make sure you get a receipt! HTH!
