dining canopy rentals

Call me crazy but...Does anyone know of any companies that do bamboo dining canopy rentals only?  I've heard of yvonne floral and hemingway designs, but I'm under the impression that they only do comprehensive event design.  I'm DIYing a lot of my decor, so I don't really need the bells and whistles.I had this crazy idea to DIY lounge areas under dining canopies at either side of my dancefloor.  Basically, for each lounge area, I'd have a storage ottoman ($70 at walmart) slipcovered in white canvas, a clean-line coffee table ($30 at walmart) and two cube storage ottomans ($30 each at walmart) again, slipcovered in white canvas.  So really all I would need is the dining canopies.  Anyone know how much they go for?

I think the bamboo dining canopies are around $500 per canopy. You may want to ask K8teohh9 - she had some gorgeous ones for her wedding. We liked those too but it was waaaay out of our budget. Our cheap alternative was going to be using a 10x10 marquee tent with the point on top ($155). But now we're just going with one big tent all together.

You can rent them from Pacfic Isle Rentals....they are all really expensive though, $500 for basic and $750 to add lighting and paper lanterns. If you have the budget for it though, that sounds gorgeous!!

yowza. $500. I guess it's going to be one of those "is it really worth it" decisions. Thanks ladies!

IF you are into DIY and have family/friends able to help out...  Walmart sells the bamboo on the island in their flower section. I bought my material here at home and was planning on actually using pvc piping until I found the bamboo at Walmart. Of course I only had to make just one for the ceremony. I connected the bamboo with brown rope that ended up being hidden by the material.

AMAZING!!!! And the bamboo held up? That's such a great idea. I would totally do it, except, I'll only have a few days to play with while I'm in Oahu (I'm from Canada) so I'd be too scared to take that chance. But thanks again for the suggestion!
